The New York Giants destroyed the Redskins last night, but the beating wasn't limited to the scoreboard. After Giants quarterback Eli Manning was sacked early in the fourth quarter, running back Brandon Jacobs and Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall began to fight, with the two definitely swatting and possibly punching at each other. It did not take long for teammates to join the two.
Was Jacobs afraid when 350-pound tackle Albert Haynesworth showed up during the scuffle? Hardly, according to the Giants running back, who described the Redskins lineman as a "huge dude." But:
"I'm not scared of anybody. Nobody. You put your pants on the right way, same way I do. You bleed like I do, you stand over the toilet and you piss like I do. I'm not scared of anybody. At all."
This is not DeAngelo Hall's first fight of the year. He threw down against his former team in November (see video here), in a fight that led to Falcons coach Mike Smith being fined $15,000.
And of course, it was just eight days earlier when the Giants were involved in another fight of their own. Eagles lineman Trent Cole repeatedly punched Giants center Shaun O'Hara late last week. Both players were fined $15,000 apiece. Scroll down to watch last night's fight.
