What European country is home to the most reckless vacation goers?
The answer: Great Britain. No other European nation drinks more while on vacation than Britons do, according to a TripAdvisor survey of 6,671 European travelers.
65% of Britons drink more while on a trip abroad than they do at home; in comparison, 41% of other Europeans (including Italians at 28%) drink more. 29% of Britons drink five or more alcoholic beverages while on vacation, while only 10% of other Europeans do so.
It's not all bad for the British: Italians took the crown of the heaviest on-vacation smokers (27% of Italians describe their diet as "unhealthy" or "very unhealthy", while the European average is 16%) and 12% of French holidaymakers claim to not being dutiful with the sunscreen (94% of Britons are "careful" or "very careful.").
The French took the crown of most likely to get plastic surgery while on vacation, with 12% saying they would consider it (the European average was just 7%).
On a score of one to five, with one being the unhealthiest and five the healthiest, Britons were ranked three for their holiday habits, with Italians the least healthy and Spaniards the most healthy.
