Nokia Hires Orchestra To Create New Ringtones

Is there any sound more cringeworthy than the generic ringtone? Nokia is taking a step to remedy this fact, with class.

The company recently hired the Brastislava Symphony Orchestra to create 25 new classical ringtones, which were composed by Nokia sound designers. Nokia's Adam Fraser explained in a blog post: “[Ringtones are] usually created in a studio using a synthesiser to produce a wide variety of sounds. While this does produce great results, Nokia wanted to bring the audio experience to life.”

We are secretly wondering if this is all a ploy so cell phones can go off freely during orchestra performances without causing a ruckus.
