SUPERM's 'Beauty And Hell': Brian Kenny And Slava Mogutin Head To Envoy Enterprises (NSFW PHOTOS)

NSFW Collages Show Wild Contortions

Brian Kenny and Slava Mogutin formed "SUPERM" in 2004, and have worked with a band of international collaborators for the past eight years. In their latest work, "Beauty and Hell," the duo brings porn-inspired contortionist collages and a racy video homage to Arthur Rimbaud's poetry to Envoy Enterprises in New York.

In an e-mail statement to The Huffington Post, Kenny writes:

The collages were largely conceived during hurricane Sandy. Working at our West Village studio with the power out and our candles on, we were amusing ourselves by going through a stock pile of vintage porn magazines, castrating, dissecting and mutilating male bodies and turning them into sexless, amorphic metabods.

Mogutin wrote:

Inspired by the obsessive, fetishistic work of Hans Bellmer and Pierre Mollinier, we felt like surgeons or mad scientists, sculpting new ideals of beauty and reinterpreting old ones. Working on BEAUTY was a very satisfying and tranquilizing process, like meditation or solving a puzzle—a creative marathon that helped us to get through the HELL of a week-long blackout in the belly of Gotham City.

"Beauty and Hell" runs at Envoy Enterprises in New York from November 15 - December 31, 2012.
