ProFlowers Receives Barrage Of Twitter Complaints Following Bad Mother's Day Bouquets (PHOTO)

This is the second time they've dropped the ball during a major holiday this year.

ProFlowers complaints for bad Mother's Day bouquets have been coming in all day as the company's Twitter feed has become one big apology to dissatisfied customers.

Twitter user LaLaLovee tweeted this after her mom received some blooms that look nothing like the photo advertised:

Happy Mother's Day mom! Thanks @proflowers , you guys FUCKING suck!!!! These flowers are pathetic. twitter.com/lalalovee/stat…

— Susan (@lalalovee) May 13, 2013

And she's not the only one who's upset. User RinataDominguez tweeted at the company with hashtags #thanksfornothing and #worstdaughteraward because her mother didn't even receive the flowers.

The company has responded as they did when this situation came up on Valentine's Day: many apologies.

UPDATE: ProFlowers reached out to us with a statement saying:

At ProFlowers, we take great pride in making sure that every single mom who receives our flowers is happy on Mother’s Day.

ProFlowers hand selects and ships flowers fresh from the fields. We cut out middlemen and send the freshest flowers, and it’s a better value for customers. That also means fresh-cut flowers arrive at your door, ready to bloom. This is also how we’re able to guarantee seven days of fresh flowers.

That also means the flowers need some nurturing. Sometimes, flowers like tulips take a day or two to completely open up, because they come fresh from the field. We include instructions in every package so that people know how to trim, feed and water their flowers upon arrival.

For every single mom or customer who received flowers and is not 100% satisfied, we urge you to contact our customer service specialists at 1-800-580-2913 and we’ll take care of any problem, any issue with the flowers.
