It's pretty safe to say this family really likes the Seattle Seahawks.
A pair of super fans have reportedly decided to honor their favorite football team by naming their baby girl after the "12th Man," a nickname given to notoriously boisterous Seattle Seahawks home crowd. Her name is Cydnee Leigh 12th Mann.
Local television station KING 5 posted a pic of the Manns' new baby to Twitter Monday:
If the name's for real, Cydnee Leigh 12th Mann -- born just in time to watch the Seahawks play the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl on Sunday -- will now join the ranks of other babies with rather unconventional, sports-inspired names. Take Jensen Jay Alexander Bikey Carlisle Duff Elliott Fox Iwelumo Marney Mears Paterson Thompson Wallace Preston, for example. The lad was named for the 14 members of his parents' favorite British soccer team, Burnley.
However, naming your baby after a sports team can have its consequences. Parents from Andalusia, Ala., were surprised when their decision to name son Krimson Tyde, after the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, elicited a bit of controversy.
