Chris Christie Slams David Letterman, Gives A Shout-Out To Stephen Colbert

OUCH: Christie Slams Letterman

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) slammed "Late Show" host David Letterman Wednesday, pledging his allegiance to Letterman's successor, Stephen Colbert.

The jab came after Letterman made another fat joke about Christie, mocking him for being named Father of the Year by the National Father's Day/Mother's Day Council.

Christie tweeted he wouldn't miss Letterman's jokes, and included the hashtag #ColbertNation:

But Colbert, currently the host of the Comedy Central show "The Colbert Report," hasn't been so friendly to Christie in the past. He recently criticized the governor over the Bridgegate scandal, and in November 2013, Colbert called out Christie for staying coy about a presidential run.

Colbert appeared on the "Late Show" Tuesday for the first time since CBS announced that he'd take over hosting duties from David Letterman next year.
