Baby Elephant Dances With A Ribbon, Reminds Us To Cut Loose In Life

We often get so wrapped up in the grind of our daily lives that we forget how to simply kick back and play. So baby elephant Faa Mai is here to remind us that life is always worth celebrating. Tourists visiting the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand, caught this 5-year-old calf discovering just how much fun she could have with a blue elastic ribbon.

Faa Mai is the first calf born at Elephant Nature Park, operated by the Save Elephant Foundation. The Thai nonprofit provides a haven for elephants that were once exploited through the country's industries such as tourism and illegal logging. For almost 20 years, the park has provided a sanctuary for these gentle animals.

Watch Faa Mai swing, twist, dance and twirl with her new favorite toy -- you can almost hear giggles emanating from the gigantic grin on her face as she plays, safe and without a care in the world.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated that Faa Mai was rescued.
