1 Dead In Accident At Disney World Racing Attraction

A man was killed in a car accident at the Exotic Driving Experience at the Walt Disney World Speedway in Florida on Sunday, according to police.

Police say Watson lost control of a Lamborghini and struck a guard rail, WFTV reported. The station said both men were wearing seatbelts and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Terry's LinkedIn page says he had worked at the Speedway since 2001, and in 2013 became operations manager for the Richard Petty Driving Experience and Exotic Driving Experience. Both offer high-speed rides around the racetrack, either in NASCAR vehicles or performance cars.

While on Disney property, both experiences at the Speedway are run by Petty Holdings LLC, which operates similar attractions around the country.

"On behalf of everyone in the organization, it is with a very heavy heart that we extend our deepest sympathies to those involved in today's tragic accident in Orlando," Petty Holdings said in a statement cited by AP.

"We offer our deepest sympathy to those involved in today's tragic accident," a Walt Disney World spokesperson said in a statement to ClickOrlando.com.

The Walt Disney World Speedway is located near the Magic Kingdom and just outside of the Disney Transportation and Ticket Center, where guests can board the monorail or ferry boat to the theme park. Disney announced in February that the Speedway will shut down this summer.
