Say hello to your new favorite country music duo.

Dolly Parton and Katy Perry -- an unlikely but awesome pair -- killed it at the Academy of Country Music Awards with their rousing renditions of Parton's best hits. The much-hyped performance marks the first time the two have ever performed together live.

For their duet, Parton and Perry started out singing "Coat of Many Colors." True to the song, Parton wore a coat of many, shiny, sequined colors while Perry wore fishnets, pink and yellow cowboy boots, and a matching dress.

The two followed up that song with an emotional performance of "Jolene," Parton's famous hit from the 1970s. Parton and Perry then poured themselves a cup of ambition, belting out "9 to 5" and bringing the audience to their feet.

Before the performance, Perry introduced Parton, who was honored with the Tex Ritter Award for her 2015 film, "Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors."

The annual award honors a movie for "featuring or utilizing country music." Past nominees include "Country Strong" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou," among others.
