It’s quite possibly the most unlikely viral sensation on Twitter right now: A catchy tune called “Zendaya Is Meechee” that’s essentially a musical reading of some promotional posters for the animated film “Smallfoot.”
In the film, Zendaya is Meechee. LeBron James is Gwangi, Danny DeVito is Dorgle, Common is Stonekeeper and Gina Rodriguez is Kolka.
But mostly, Zendaya is Meechee, as writer/actor and YouTuber Gabriel Gundacker makes abundantly clear:

The video racked up more than 3 million views in 24 hours, and even got a retweet ― and some praise ― from Zendaya herself:
Sang my name right and everything 😂😂😂 https://t.co/1rKNc2eff9

What is it about the song that has so many people hooked? No one knows for sure:
The summer is over but somehow Zendaya is Meechee just became the song of the summer
