FL-22: Allen West Should Apologize for Sexist Tirade

Allen West has a real problem with women. He's voted to deny us healthcare and curb our rights, and now he's openly attacking one of us with sexist comments. I won't stand for it.

Wow. I wasn't planning on blogging today, but after reading about Allen West's latest out of control, sexist tirade, I knew I had to do something. Politico summed up his latest embarrassment:

Congressman Allen West dispatched a scathing email to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, calling her "vile, unprofessional and despicable," "a coward" "characterless" and "not a Lady" and demanding that she "shut the heck up."

Disgusting. That's really the first word that comes to mind when I think about this.

I know Congresswomen Wasserman Schultz, she's a strong women and can handle herself -- but I can't stand by and let this kind of sexism go unnoticed. West has done everything he can to degrade women as a U.S. Congressman. It's offensive and makes us all look bad.

This angry verbal assault on a hardworking Florida congresswomen takes away from the real issues, and cannot be allowed to stand. West has to face up to his sexism and rectify it.

Demand an apology. And demand he donate $1,000 to the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence to show he's serious. Sign our petition at WestHatesWomen.com!

To me, this is just another example of why I am running against West. He's a radical, anti-women embarrassment to our state. He has got to go -- and I'm going to make sure he does.
