Eddie Pepitone's 'A Great Stillness': Cult-Favorite Releases First Comedy Album (VIDEO)

The Greatest Comic You May Not Have Heard Of Releases First Live Album

If you've ever seen Eddie Pepitone perform, then you probably love Eddie Pepitone.

A long-time favorite of comedy devotees, the "Bitter Buddha" as he's sometimes called is releasing his first album, "A Great Stillness" on December 1st and we highly recommend it as a stocking stuffer for everyone you know who thinks they know comedy.

The album was recorded at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City earlier this year and it can be pre-ordered at Amazon.

So what is it about Eddie Pepitone that makes us so excited for his first live standup album? Maybe it's his authenticity as a comedian; there's no artifice or character prop, he is the genuine article. Maybe it's his forcefulness as a performer; he deftly vacillates between genial approachability and duck-and-cover rage. Or maybe it's the simple fact that he's the guy whose depth of talent you want to see recognized, because when that happens you realize that the world can't be all that bad.

To see what we mean, check out a few of these clips of Eddie being Eddie. We are particularly fond of his appearance on Marc Maron's WTF Podcast.
