This is turning out to be quite a summer for Michelle Rodriguez. Not only did she star in the hugely successful Fast & Furious 6, she’ll be voicing a lead character in the DreamWorks animated feature, "Turbo."

Rodriguez actually hasn’t tackled many cartoons in the past. But as she told NBC, it’s a medium she’s eager to embrace.

“It’s very liberating doing animation,” Michelle explained. “[You don’t] have to worry about hair, makeup or anything. It’s just you, your personality and your animation.”

Rodriguez plays Paz in the movie, a human mechanic who helps out a group of speedway racing snails. Interestingly, Turbo has quite a few Latino celebs in the mix. In addition to Michelle, Michael Peña and Luis Guzman have leading voice roles in the film.
